November 06 20132013-11-06Two seated men in ritual attire at what appears to be a temple-style event. On the left, a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes with a red sash, a white tilak across his forehead and white ash markings on his arms, wears a long rudraksha mala and red-brown beaded bracelets, with eyes lowered and lips moving as if chanting. On the right, a man with short dark hair wears a white unstitched cloth draped over one shoulder, a rudraksha mala and red bangles, and speaks while looking forward. Behind them is a golden ornamental backdrop and red draped fabric. The scene suggests a satsang or ritual gathering.2013-11-06Photograph of two men standing with palms pressed together in anjali mudra before a red curtain in an indoor hall. The man on the left is shaved-headed, wears a rust-red sannyasi cloth, a rudraksha mala with a pendant, rudraksha bracelets, and white ash markings on his forehead and arms. The man on the right has long swept-back hair, a small red bindi, earrings, a gold bangle and a white dhoti-style wrap with an orange border. A partially visible person in orange clothing stands at the right edge, and folded bedding sits at the left.2013-05-31July 30 20132013-07-30September 24 20132013-09-24December 18 20102010-12-18Two seated men lead chanting on an orange cloth at a microphone stand. The man on the left wears a white dhoti with maroon borders, bare upper body, gold beaded mala, and holds his palms pressed together with eyes closed. The man on the right wears an orange-saffron shawl over the shoulder, a long gold beaded necklace with a blue pendant, gold bracelet, and white horizontal tilak marks on his upper arms and forehead, and reads from a paper held open. A brass bell and a small glass bowl sit on the floor, and a gold-coloured decorative box is nearby. A person in red is partly visible at the right edge.2010-12-18Two shaved-headed priests sit cross-legged before microphones on a stand at a satsang setting. The man on the left, in white dhoti and shawl with maroon borders and gold necklaces, presses his palms together in anjali with eyes closed. The man on the right wears an orange-saffron shawl over bare shoulders, gold beaded necklaces, a white forehead tilak with red dot, and white sandalwood marks on his arms, eyes closed and hands resting on his lap. A dark curtain and pale wall form the background. No appearance-based cues qualify either man as a person, so their roles are priests in attendance.2010-12-18August 24 20162016-08-24August 02 20162016-08-02June 02 20132013-06-02Several shaven-headed monks in saffron and orange robes sit in a row with palms pressed together in anjali mudra at a satsang.
