A photograph of an outdoor food preparation area under a thatched palm-leaf roof. Several people in plain white dhotis and white garments cook for a community meal. A man in white bends over a large black wok on a gas burner, while a woman in a white sari stands near a row of large metal pots and tubs. Another woman in a grey top stirs a pot at the back. Steel bowls hold chopped vegetables and a tub of cooked food sits on a raised platform. Gas cylinders and a small stove are visible, with dry palm fronds behind. The scene suggests annadan, community food service.2009-08-05January 06 20122012-01-06A photograph of a kitchen at an outdoor relief camp, where volunteers prepare food for an annadaan meal. No one in the scene is identifiable as a person.2012-01-06Outdoor community kitchen under a corrugated metal roof with a palm grove behind. Several workers in green caps and white clothing tend the pots, and a few people in white dhotis and shirts stand among the crowd. Wet muddy ground and striped cloth canopies frame the scene. A man in white dhoti with bare upper body and a white-clad companion stand near the center, but no swami-like cues are clearly visible, so identity is uncertain. Several people are visible in the background.2012-01-06June 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20122012-01-06January 06 20122012-01-06
