A hand in a white sleeve pours water from a silver pot with a curved handle over the peak. Behind it stands a small gilt deity murti in a yellow dress within an ornate golden arched frame, with a pink flower, a brass vessel, a brass stand and a tray of yellow and magenta flower petals beside it. Incense smoke rises at the left.2009-05-28A close photograph of a ritual abhishekam at a gold-toned shrine. A hand tilts a silver bowl, pouring liquid over a tiered golden sri yantra meru base beside a gilded deity murti. Behind, a man in white dhoti with an orange shawl and a red tilak sits attentively, and a person in orange clothing has hands joined in prayer. A carved wooden platform with floral patterns holds the setup, and a microphone is visible at top right. No one in the image is identifiable as a person from appearance here, so the candidate is not clearly present.2008-07-03July 03 20082008-07-03November 06 20142014-11-06A gilded bronze standing deity murti, crowned and adorned with jewellery, is being bathed with water poured from a silver vessel held by a hand at top left. Beside it is a tiered golden pedestal or sri yantra-style base. A man in white clothing with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala stands at left, with hands cupped below. A woman in an orange top and rudraksha mala sits at right, watching with a green-and-white cloth nearby. The scene suggests an abhishekam ritual, with water splashing around the murti.2008-07-03November 01 20112011-11-01A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a golden Sri Chakra meru-shaped yantra. A hand holding a white conch shell pours milk or water over the tiered golden structure, which sits on a gold-draped platform in front of a red and gold brocade backdrop. Red flower petals rest at the base of the yantra. In the foreground a coconut wrapped with green mango leaves sits beside a small bunch of white jasmine flowers, and a metal vessel stands to the right. The visible person is only the arm and hand of the officiant, so no full figure is shown.October 25 20062006-10-25
