Outdoor ritual scene with a man in a rust-red dhoti and shawl, wearing a long pink and white flower garland with red roses, a thick rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, and a gold arm band. He holds a brass handbell in his right hand while smoke from an incense or puja offering drifts around him. Behind him, a crowd of children and adults in orange and red clothes stands with hands folded, and ornate gold-and-blue parasols shade the area under hanging green leaves. A brass tray of flowers and offerings sits at the bottom edge, and a gold-covered object appears at the right. The setting suggests a puja or aarti with devotees gathered in an open courtyard.2016-10-08A photograph of a smiling man in a rust-brown robe standing outdoors and holding a silver lamp with a flame in one hand and a silver handbell in the other. He wears a long pink and white flower garland, a rudraksha mala, and a heavy gold necklace with a large pendant, with a tilak mark on his forehead. Behind him stands a crowd, including women in orange saris and girls with palms pressed together, under a blue and gold canopy with palm trees in the background. The lamp flame and smoke rise near his face during what appears to be an aarti offering.2016-10-08October 08 20162016-10-08A man in a procession stands at center, wearing a long rust-orange dhoti-style garment, a gold-toned waist sash and a heavy wreath of pink, white and red flower garlands over his shoulders, with a rudraksha-style brown bead mala and gold necklace at his chest.
