A dim hall filled with a large seated congregation in white clothing, many wearing red-orange shawls or sashes over white kurtas and saris. Devotees sit on colourful striped woven mats and cushions, many with palms pressed together or hands raised in devotion. A microphone stand is visible at left, and a dais with ornate decorations and lights stands at the back of the hall. Some devotees wear garlands and beaded necklaces. The scene suggests a satsang or discourse, though no individual is clearly identifiable as a central speaker in the frame.2015-09-17A large indoor satsang gathering with a dense crowd of devotees seated on colourful striped mats in rows. Most wear white kurta-style clothing with orange-red shawls draped over their shoulders, and several have white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. Many sit with palms pressed together in namaskar or hands raised in prayer, while others chant or meditate with eyes closed. Among them, a bald man in white with a red shawl and forehead marking sits near the centre, and a man with curly dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits to the right. No single figure stands out as a clear, distinctively adorned teacher, so no candidate is identified. Several people wear red-orange saffron-toned shawls, and a few carry backpacks on the floor at left.2014-12-16August 12 20172017-08-12 +1 copiesA large crowd of devotees with palms pressed together in namaskar gathers in a hall at a Kumbh Mela event. Most wear red, orange and saffron shawls or sashes over white and ochre kurtas, with rudraksha and other beaded malas around their necks. In the foreground, women in green, purple and red saris stand close, some with hands folded. A man in a purple turban and a bare-chested man in a red shawl stand among the crowd. No single leader is clearly singled out, and the image shows a dense devotional gathering with many people visible, most of them partially cut off by the frame.2016-05-11
