A photo of a large seated gathering of saffron-robed sadhus and monks on striped mats in a tent-like hall, many with grey or white beards and orange-marked foreheads. Several hold long red and orange cloth banners aloft on poles. At the far end, an elevated stage holds decorated shrines with ornate silver arches, umbrellas and deity murti in colourful garments, with a standing figure in white near the centre. The room is lit with purple and pink light.2015-09-10September 10 20152015-09-10 +3 copiesIndoor temple-hall ritual on a raised stage with red curtains. Devotees sit on striped mats in orange and saffron robes, several with orange head wraps and bare upper bodies, some in white dhotis. At left, a figure in orange and gold sits on an ornate silver-and-gold throne beneath a decorated umbrella, with a standing attendant beside him. Behind them, a deity murti is garlanded with marigolds and dressed in gold and red. A lamp-lit altar stands before the murti, and a window air conditioner and wall portraits are visible. Several women in saffron and yellow saris sit among the group.2017-09-30September 15 20152015-09-15A large seated congregation of saffron-robed sadhus and devotees faces a raised stage at a Kumbh Mela camp hall. Many wear orange clothing and orange or yellow turbans, while some older men wear white. On the stage, several ornate golden shrines and deity murtis are decorated with flags and lamps, and a row of seated orange-clad figures sits before them. A trident-like staff with a brass finial stands at right. Many audience members hold folded newspapers. The figures on stage are too small and distant to confirm any individual's identity, so no a person candidate is established. Roughly fifty to sixty people are visible.2015-09-11September 11 20152015-09-11September 11 20152015-09-11October 12 20152015-10-12August 22 20062006-08-22September 10 20152015-09-10 +3 copiesA large tented hall with striped canvas ceiling and red-and-white pillars, filled with seated sadhus in saffron and orange robes and orange turbans sitting on red carpets in rows. A raised dais at the back holds a golden ornate stage with a deity murti or portrait framed in gold and red, with orange-clad figures seated before it. In the center aisle a man in dark clothes bends forward, and a figure in orange shawl stands at the right. Speakers hang on the poles and a few white-clad devotees appear at the edges. The setting resembles a Kumbh camp gathering with visible satsang seating.2015-09-10August 26 20172017-08-26
