Behind them, women in white and red saris and a small girl in a green dress stand near a gold-patterned wall with a brass lamp stand. The seated figure has a distinctive turban, orange garments and garland cues, but appearance alone is not enough to confirm identity, so the figure is described by role as the seated person being approached. This looks like a darshan or blessing exchange in a temple-style hall.2015-08-22A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a matching orange turban and a garland of white jasmine and orange-red flowers, handing an object to a kneeling man in a white shirt and white dhoti with a rudraksha mala. The seated figure wears bronze-toned bangles and bracelets, and a golden ceremonial object is in the lower foreground. Behind them stand several people: a woman in white with a brown shawl and rudraksha mala, a woman in a saffron-orange robe with a mala, and older women in blue and white saris. Gold lamps stand in the background.2015-08-22August 22 20152015-08-22July 08 20142014-07-08A photograph inside a temple of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha-style bead necklace and matching bead armband, a light beaded headband, and white ash markings on the forehead and arms. He sits on a gold-carved throne with red cushioning, reaching out with one hand over a small gold-coloured vessel, while a woman in a white sari with gold jewellery stands behind, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands at right with his hands together. A devotee's head is visible in the foreground, and a deity shrine with gold lamps appears in the background. Visible cues on the seated figure are consistent with the appearance-based candidate, so the label is probable.2012-05-16 +1 copiesApril 30 20162016-04-30A photograph inside a temple hall with golden throne-backs. A seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a gold-and-beaded necklace, a dark beaded headband and white ash markings on the arms and face is smiling and extending his hand to a man in a white shirt and dark-rimmed glasses who bends forward to receive or touch the ash. Behind them, other men stand in white and saffron clothing, one with a shaved head and white markings. The seated figure's ornate garland cues and throne suggest a person in an honoured seat, though the appearance is not certain enough to confirm.2012-05-14May 14 20122012-05-14 +1 copiesAugust 22 20152015-08-22August 22 20152015-08-22
