A silver SUV stands at the right, and a woman in a saffron-orange sleeveless outfit holds her hand near its window. Beside her, another person in saffron-orange clothing reaches toward the vehicle. In front, a man in white shirt and dhoti wears a rudraksha mala. Women in teal and green saris and a woman in a striped sari stand in the crowd, many with hands folded in greeting. The people are visibly numerous, with more crowded behind them along the roadside.2010-01-21August 11 20092009-08-11Outdoor photo of a crowd greeting a welcome procession on a red-carpeted path beneath palm trees, with a yellow building behind. In the centre, a man in a red-and-orange turban, orange robe and a long white flower garland walks barefoot on the red carpet, while a bald man in a dark-orange sash and rudraksha mala raises his right hand in blessing. In the foreground a young woman in a white sari with a gold border and an orange shawl holds a tray with white flower garlands. Behind her a row of men in white dhotis and white shirts, some with white ritual scarves, stand near a white-covered table. On the right, women in white and orange saris stand facing the path, and an elderly woman in a white sari stands on the path. A small child in a pink shirt stands beside the tray. The scene looks like a ceremonial welcome lined up along an ashram road, and no clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2008-07-27A street procession in a village lined with brick and whitewashed houses, with saffron flags on poles and a tree overhead. Many women in yellow-orange and cream saris walk in a long column carrying brass plates heaped with offerings, including round sweets and fruit, and some balance decorated pots on their heads. Men in white shirts and white dhotis walk alongside, some wearing rudraksha and beaded necklaces, and one drummer in white beats a drum at the right. A red motorcycle is parked by the building on the right, and a few people watch from balconies and doorways.2008-07-28 +1 copiesAugust 11 20092009-08-11Outdoor photograph of a crowd gathered along a palm-lined path, with devotees in white shirts and white dhotis pressing palms together in greeting.
