A woman in an orange sannyasi-style top with long dark hair stands in the centre, hands joined in namaste, surrounded by about two dozen children and young people in white kurtas and dresses. A man in white stands at the upper right and a light-skinned young woman kneels in the front row. Behind them a banner shows a portrait of a smiling man in a white turban and the words Nithyananda Gurukul, with the Tamil name below. On the right, a bronze-coloured statue of a sage in orange robes stands on a pedestal. Flowers are scattered on the stage floor and a fan stands at the edge.2006-10-02A large group of children and adults sits and stands in a whitewashed hall for a group photo. Many children sit on a blue mat and a striped green-and-pink rug, holding folded newspapers or paper bags, some wearing lanyards and name badges. Behind them hangs a large black backdrop printed with a portrait of a smiling young man in a yellow-orange turban; a portrait is placed before it with a small floral arrangement. Standing adults and older women in white and cream clothing stand along the right side, and a woman in a dark kurta stands at the left. A small white shirt-clad young man stands at the right edge.December 03 20112011-12-03December 30 20072007-12-30May 04 20072007-05-04 +1 copiesMay 04 20072007-05-04 +1 copies
