Night photograph of a temple courtyard framed by two golden ornamental pillars topped with rearing mythical lion or yali figures. A single bare-backed figure in a dark brown cloth stands on a woven straw mat, arms raised with hands clasped above the head in prayer. Behind them is a shrine with a maroon curtain and illuminated deity murti, with a small gold lamp or pillar and decorated banners at the right edge. At far right, a person in orange robes sits beside a camera operator, and a white-clad figure stands near a garlanded statue at left.2018-05-30Night temple scene framed by two ornate golden lion-headed gateway pillars. A figure seen from behind, with long dark hair falling down the back, wears a brown cloth wrap with a gold border and stands barefoot on a woven mat, facing a lit shrine. Inside the shrine stand a deity murti decorated with a red and gold cloth and a garland, and to the right an elaborately decorated golden palanquin-like structure with a garlanded figure. Small stone bull figures sit on the shrine roof. Greenery frames the lower edges. The figure's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance; the page refers to a Thirujnanasambandar Puja, but no legible sign in the image names that ritual.2018-05-30May 30 20182018-05-30May 26 20172017-05-26September 11 20172017-09-11May 30 20182018-05-30August 05 20142014-08-05October 03 20082008-10-03February 27 20162016-02-27 +2 copiesMay 30 20182018-05-30A man in saffron-orange sannyasi robes stands barefoot at right with palms pressed together in namaste, wearing a marigold and red rose garland and a light forehead mark.
