A seated figure in an orange-saffron turban, wearing a large garland of orange marigolds, white flowers and pink blossoms, and bare-shouldered orange cloth, smiles while touching a golden ceremonial staff. In front, a young boy in a black shirt bends forward to reach for the staff, holding a yellow fruit. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange turban, a gold-trimmed brown-and-gold garment, multiple rudraksha malas and gold bangles hands a small object to a young girl in a maroon dress with rudraksha beads. Nearby, a young boy in an orange robe, a bald-headed man in an orange robe with rudraksha malas, and an older man in a white dhoti with a shawl stand by. At left, two men in white kurta with folded hands look on. A chain-link barrier and rows of seated devotees in the background. The turbaned central figure has distinctive saffron turban, malas and gold ornaments, so the appearance-based label is a person, shown in person as the one presenting the object to the girl.2013-07-30February 10 20162016-02-10 +1 copiesA photograph of a padapuja at a home visit. A bare-chested man with a sandalwood-coloured shawl and a rudraksha mala, wearing gold bangles and a gold necklace, sits on a chair while a woman in an orange sari bends forward to wash his feet from a silver vessel. Seated nearby, a man in a white dhoti gives a blessing and a boy in an orange cloth stands with garlands. Several devotees in orange and white clothing stand in a yellow-walled room; a child in a patterned dress presses his palms together. A framed picture of a deity murti hangs on the wall. Visible: about eight people. The bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala and gold ornaments may be a person receiving the padapuja.2014-07-07July 30 20132013-07-30July 20 20152015-07-20A photograph of a crowded indoor temple-style hall where a man with long dark wavy hair wearing an orange saffron shawl over a bare chest, multiple gold chains and a rudraksha mala stands at the centre, with his arm bangle visible.
