Around them, a man in a white shirt holds a silver tray of bananas, apples and grapes. Two people in saffron and orange robes with rudraksha malas stand at right, one raising a hand in greeting, and a bare-chested man in white dhoti with sandalwood and vibhuti marks stands at far right. The setting appears to be a temple inauguration, with the seated figure receiving honours from devotees.2016-03-29A photograph of a smiling person seated in front of an ornate gold throne-like chair at a temple event. The seated figure wears an orange-red turban, a red-brown shawl and a long garland of white flowers with red blossoms. Standing around them are several men: on the left, a man in a checked grey-green shawl and white clothes with a tilak mark; on the right, a bare-chested man with a long rudraksha mala and gold-bordered white cloth, and another man in a dark-patterned garment with long rudraksha beads. A hand is raised in the foreground on the right. The scene suggests a devotional gathering with onlookers around the seated figure. Appearance-based label: a person cannot be confirmed from clothing and cues alone, so identity is left uncertain.2016-03-29December 05 20142014-12-05March 29 20162016-03-29A seated figure in a rust-orange turban and red-orange robe sits on a red cushioned seat beside a gold lion-head armrest, wearing a red and white flower garland and a rudraksha mala. He holds bananas on his lap and extends them to a kneeling young man in a pink shirt who reaches forward to receive them. Behind them, a woman in a white sari with a rudraksha mala stands beside another woman in red, and brass lamps and gilded carvings fill the background. The figure smiles and extends a hand toward a brass tray holding a small jar and sliced yellow fruit. An older man in a white shirt and white dhoti bends forward to offer fruit from the tray. Behind them a woman in white with a rudraksha mala stands nearby, and gold-framed decorative panels and green foliage form the background. The scene suggests an offering during satsang or darshan.2015-04-23A seated figure in a deep maroon ornate turban with gold trim and a gold jewelled brooch sits on a silver-framed throne, wearing a long white-and-red jasmine and marigold garland, a red rudraksha-style mala, and heavy gold necklaces with a gold pendant. A bare-chested attendant in white dhoti at left holds a silver tray of fruit and offerings, and another attendant in saffron-and-maroon robes stands at right holding a silver staff. Behind them a crowd of devotees in white and saffron clothing fills the hall. Appearance cues are consistent with a person, seated on the throne receiving a fruit offering in a padapuja-style honouring. A silver trident stands beside the throne. Behind, a bald man in saffron robes and beads stands, and a woman in red and a man in a red shawl look on. Golden marigold garlands lie at the base of the throne and the seated devotees in the foreground form a dense crowd. The seated figure matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of turban, saffron robes, rudraksha malas and ornate necklaces, and is receiving darshan and offerings as the presiding figure.2015-12-23
