A large white sculptural murti of a multi-headed, multi-armed goddess stands on a pedestal in a decorated hall at night. The figure wears a tall crown, has a protruding tongue, and is draped with yellow and purple flower garlands and a beaded necklace. Many severed-looking heads are arranged along its legs and sides, and it holds a curved sword raised in one hand. Strings of lights, banana plants and a rope hang around it. Behind, devotees stand and sit near a decorated ritual table with offerings, and a small white lion-like figure lies at the base.2009-01-11January 11 20092009-01-11January 11 20092009-01-11Night-time photograph of a temple procession at a decorated shrine. A man in saffron-orange robes, long hair, a red-and-pink flower garland and a gold necklace reaches toward a white statue of a deity holding a sword, dressed in yellow cloth and draped with orange and white marigold garlands and green leaves. Men in white dhotis and shirts stand around him, and an orange-robed attendant is nearby. Strings of coloured lights and a few devotees are visible in the background. Swamiji (probable): the saffron robes, long hair, rudraksha-style neck garland and gold necklace match the appearance cues, and the page says he attends this event.2009-01-12A dark stone deity murti of a four-armed figure stands in a temple shrine, draped in a white cloth and garlanded with yellow marigolds and red roses. A rudraksha mala and gold beads hang on the chest, and a tall ornate crown sits on the head with a tilak mark on the forehead. Red curtains and red pillars frame the scene, with a dirt and construction area behind. The statue is a sculpture, not a living person.2014-09-22 +1 copiesMarch 02 20132013-03-02 +1 copiesA dark stone deity murti.
