Attendants in white dhotis and cream saris with gold borders, some with orange-red shawls, stand on either side holding small items and offerings. Behind the throne, a carved gold-painted backdrop with a deity relief. Appearance-based label: a person for the seated figure, whose long swept hair, saffron robe, rudraksha mala and ceremonial garland are visible cues; the attendants are priests and devotees.2016-05-04A photograph of a ceremonial stage in a temple-style hall. A seated person in a rust-orange robe with a multi-coloured flower garland and white beads sits on an ornate gilded throne with lion-carved armrests, draped with a tiger-striped cloth and red cushions. Behind the throne hangs a large carved panel showing a deity murti with a raised hand. On the left, a young man in an orange dhoti with a gold chain stands near a priest in white dhoti with a red shawl and a tilak, holding an object. On the right, two women in white saris with gold borders and red shawls stand, one with a bun, and a brass pot sits at the edge of the stage. Gold-carved arches frame the scene. The throne figure is a person identified by the rust-orange robe, garland and beads on the central throne, but appearance cues are limited, so the candidate is uncertain.2016-05-04A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gilded throne with a tiger-striped cushion on a red-carpeted stage. On the left, men in white dhotis with orange shawls stand near the throne, one holding a small object. Behind the throne is a carved golden backdrop with floral scrollwork and a carved figure at the top. Several people are visible, and the stage has a decorated tent backdrop.2016-05-04A photograph of a satsang on a red-carpeted stage with red and pink drapes. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a crown-like orange turban, a long white flower garland and gold armlets, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne. Beside him a small trishul stands. Around him seated devotees, mostly women, sit on the red floor: a woman in white with glasses, a woman with short grey hair in a white outfit, a woman in a long white sari with a red shawl, girls in white and red dupattas, and a woman in a yellow sari at right. Brass plates with flowers and offerings sit on the floor, and a dhol drum rests at left.2014-07-24A photograph of a darshan on a red-carpeted stage before a large golden deity murti of a four-armed goddess holding a trident and other attributes, flanked by painted pillar backdrops. Two men in white shirts and white dhotis stand nearby: one at left bends forward toward the throne, the other at right, with palms pressed together in namaste, is accompanied by a younger man in white. A seated figure in saffron robes sits on an ornate gold throne with lion-form arms, surrounded by brass trays of offerings. Standing before the throne, a line of devotees in white and bright clothing press palms together in prayer; one woman wears a yellow and multicolour sari. Two saffron-clad attendants stand nearby, one holding a white flower garland. Striped and patterned rugs cover the floor, and a red cloth backdrop hangs behind. The seated figure's appearance is consistent with the page's description of the event, but the face and identity cannot be confirmed from the image, so the seated figure is recorded as a sannyasi on a throne.2009-12-16A photograph of a ceremony in a red-draped hall.
