A photograph taken from a roadside of a busy multi-lane road. In the foreground a young man with short dark hair and a red cloth around his neck leans out of the open window of an orange truck cab, smiling toward the camera. The truck's large cargo box is painted blue and white. Beside the road, a uniformed traffic officer in khaki stands on the left shoulder, and a line of vehicles follows on the carriageway, including a white minibus, a silver sedan, a white hatchback and a red hatchback. Green roadside trees and low hills lie in the background under an overcast sky.2010-07-24A photograph of a parked orange flatbed truck with a canvas-covered cargo bed in a dusty open lot beside trees and a low wall. A pale blue city bus with a roof rack and open front door is stopped among cars, including a silver hatchback, a white van with a cargo bag on its roof, and a silver SUV. Several passengers sit in the bus windows. Two young men in light shirts and a figure in a red shirt walk along the dirt shoulder past the vehicles. Men in white shirts and dhotis ride motorcycles and walk along the pavement, and a small vehicle carries green banana plants and foliage toward the procession area. Signboards read AYYANNA and TN 45 on the vehicles, and the scene suggests a roadside gathering for a ratha procession rather than a ceremony itself. No deity or featured ritual figure is clearly visible in the frame.2006-10-20A photograph taken from inside a vehicle on a multi-lane highway showing two trucks. On the left, an orange-brown truck cab with a black canvas canopy and a man in a light shirt and dark trousers seated at the wheel.
