A photograph at the entrance gateway of a stone temple complex, with pillars and a dim corridor leading inward. In the foreground, a bearded man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala walks with a group of saffron-clad sannyasis, some with long hair. Behind them, men in white dhotis and shirts move through the gate. At right stands a fruit stall with bananas and produce, and a motorcycle sits at left beside a Tamil-language banner and a police sign. A large blue signboard in Tamil script hangs above the gate.

Photograph of a temple gateway passage in Thiruvanaikaval, with dark stone pillars and a gated walkway leading inward. Two figures in saffron-orange robes walk toward the camera; the one on the left has long hair and a beard and the one beside him wears a longer orange robe, with a pale-clothed group of devotees in white dhotis and shirts following behind. A man in a striped shirt stands at right beside a shop with a teal panel, and a man in a white shirt stands at left beside a red pole. A banner on the left shows portraits of several men with Tamil text. Appearance-based label: a person is the robed figure with long hair in saffron clothing walking in the centre, but the image does not confirm this clearly.

A photograph of a street outside a temple gateway with ornate carved stone walls and a blue-painted upper tower. A man in a saffron-orange robe and a gold-coloured ceremonial necklace walks barefoot down the middle of the road toward the viewer. Behind him, several people in white dhotis and shirts and a woman in a cream sari with a red-bordered pallu follow. On the left, a woman in a dark red sari with a gold border stands near a striped awning, and a red sign with a vertical stripe of text stands at the right edge. Parked white cars line the road in the background. The man in orange has distinctive long hair and a rudraksha-style necklace, but his face is not identifiable from appearance alone, so this is a person candidate only by compatible presentation.

A photograph of a crowd walking through a stone temple gateway with carved pillars in a South Indian temple complex. A bald man in the centre wears an orange saffron-coloured dhoti and shawl and carries a white bag, with sandal marks on his forehead and arms. Around him, women in orange and maroon saris, men in white dhotis and shirts, and others in casual shirts and jeans walk together; several wear lanyards. A man in a teal shirt holds a mobile device. On the right, a stone temple wall with carved pillars and a yellow Tamil-language signboard. A small gopuram tower is visible in the background.

A photograph of a temple procession in a stone-pillared colonnade with carved columns and a small shop with signboards in the background. A bare-chested priest with grey hair in a bun and white dhoti is reaching out with an outstretched arm toward a central figure. That central figure wears an orange-yellow turban and orange saffron robe, with a large garland of yellow and white flowers draped over the shoulders, hands pressed together in namaste. Around them, men in white kurtas and dhotis, several with orange saffron shawls and lanyard badges, stand in a crowd. A man in a white kurta at left has his arm extended toward the central figure. The scene reads as a garlanded welcome during a temple procession.

A man in orange saffron robes stands centre, gesturing with one arm extended toward a man in white dhoti and shirt. Around them devotees in white dhotis and a woman in a cream sari with a dark handbag move through the street. A woman in a red and orange sari stands at left, and a man in a white shirt and dhoti with orange shawl walks at left. A red-striped awning and small roadside shops line the left edge, with a white car parked behind the group.

A photograph of people walking through the pillared corridor of a South Indian temple, with carved stone columns and a bright doorway ahead. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a long gold-coloured necklace walks at the front of a group, a person candidate by appearance, though the cues are not conclusive enough for a firm identification. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts, orange-robed attendants, a man in a blue striped shirt, and a woman in a black sari with a broom stand or walk on the stone floor. Metal barricades and notice boards with yellow and green posters line the walls, including a board reading annadhanam in Tamil.

In the center, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe walks barefoot alongside another man in orange, followed by people in white and light clothes. On the right, an older bare-chested man in a yellow dhoti with a purple sash walks beside a man in a light shirt. A blue signboard with Tamil text hangs on the left wall. Several other people walk behind the group.
