May 16 20122012-05-16Photograph of a nighttime temple procession inside a stone-pillared hall. In the centre, a man with swept-back hair, a red-and-gold crown-like headpiece, a rudraksha mala and heavy gold necklaces, wearing saffron-orange robes with gold borders, walks barefoot holding hands with a shaved-headed priest in orange robes and a white flower garland. Around them, saffron-robed men and white-clad attendants walk in the crowd, one man bare-chested in a yellow dhoti with a white towel over his shoulder. A bare-chested devotee and attendants surround the group, some with tilak marks on their foreheads, with a few people dressed in white in the background.2012-06-05September 11 20122012-09-11December 29 20102010-12-29A photograph of a procession descending a stone staircase at a temple-like site. A central figure in orange-saffron robes with gold borders wears a large garland of pink flowers and green leaves around his neck and has a tilak on his forehead; he holds one hand raised in greeting. Beside him, a shaved-headed man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala walks barefoot, holding an orange cloth. Behind them, more men in orange and white robes follow. To the right, a man in a grey checked shirt and maroon lungi with gold border watches. On the left, a man in a purple shirt gestures, and bamboo railings line the steps. Pillars and trees are visible in the background.2012-08-20 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20122012-09-11July 23 20122012-07-23May 20 20122012-05-20 +1 copiesSeptember 12 20122012-09-12A procession in a temple courtyard. Several men in saffron-orange dhotis walk barefoot, some with bare chests and rudraksha malas, some wearing white flower garlands. A figure at centre wears a saffron garment and a headband, with a pink-and-white garland, and a red fringed parasol with a long pole is raised above the group. Men in white dhotis and uniformed police stand behind, with a concrete wall in the background.2012-05-30Outdoors under a pale sky and green trees, a long-haired figure in an orange saffron wrap and a white-and-green jasmine and bead garland stands beside a grey concrete pillar wrapped with orange cloth, holding a wooden staff upright with one hand. Several people in white dhotis and white shirts with rudraksha malas and beaded armbands stand around, and a bald man in an orange wrap with a gold bead necklace and yellow-bordered cloth stands at right with hands joined. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back hair, a saffron wrap and a multi-strand gold and beaded necklace, consistent with the page's identification. Other people are devotees and attendants.2012-07-03Photograph of a smiling man in a white and gold turban and saffron-orange silk robe with gold border, wearing a long white and red flower garland and gold beaded necklaces, walking barefoot on a woven mat across a courtyard. Behind him, attendants in saffron and cream clothing and an orange-robed bearded man with a gold pendant follow, one holding a long wooden pole. A red and white painted wall and a white wall with shadows form the background. The central figure has long swept-back hair and rudraksha-style gold adornments, matching the a person cues, but the page does not confirm his presence, so identity is uncertain. Four or more people are visible.2008-12-29
