December 31 20082008-12-31December 31 20082008-12-31A seated man in an orange sleeveless robe with a long rudraksha mala and long dark hair sits on a white-draped chair and smiles as a man in a white shirt and grey trousers kneels on an orange mat, clasping his hands and reaching toward him. The seated figure has distinctive long swept-back hair, orange robes and rudraksha beads, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in person. Behind them, men in white and orange ritual clothing stand near a wooden tray holding green mangoes and offerings, with brass vessels and a red-flower bowl on a stone ledge. Two people are fully visible in the foreground, with others partly visible behind, making several people in all.2010-06-13December 31 20082008-12-31A seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion wears saffron-orange robes and a red bindi, hands raised in greeting. A kneeling older man in white shirt and dhoti with a rudraksha mala and gold bangle reaches toward the seated figure's extended hand, while the seated figure's bare feet rest on a small footstool decorated with pink and white flowers. Behind them, standing devotees in white kurtas and dhotis wear yellow and orange shawls and rudraksha malas, watching the exchange. A wooden tray with green fruit, flowers and offerings sits on a white-draped table, and brass lamps and kalasha vessels stand on a shrine ledge in the background. Red-painted columns and temple architecture frame the scene outdoors.2010-06-13December 31 20082008-12-31A photograph of a padapuja ritual in an outdoor courtyard with an orange cloth floor. A figure in orange robes with long dark wavy hair, a long beaded necklace of gold-coloured beads and an orange shawl sits on a raised orange-draped seat, smiling and holding flower petals. A man in white clothes bends forward to touch the seated figure's bare feet, which rest on a pink-and-gold cloth and marigold garlands. Behind them, several men in white kurtas wear marigold garlands and orange shawls, with hands folded in greeting, and a woman in a yellow sari stands nearby. A brass bowl of petals and lemons sits on a wooden stand at left, with brass lamps and a shrine behind.2010-07-24September 30 20082008-09-30A photograph of a padapuja at a temple setting.
