A photograph of a decorated bullock cart on a dusty roadside. The cart carries an ornate, colourful canopy structure with yellow and green panels, red and pink floral motifs, trident emblems on yellow panels, and a central framed portrait of a bearded figure in orange robes on a dark background. Strings of marigold-style garlands hang from the canopy. Five young men in simple clothes sit on the cart bed, one in a white shirt and checked lungi, another in a pale shirt, and a bullock in white harnessed to the shafts. Bamboo scaffolding, orange pennants and a fenced grounds area with palm trees stand behind, with a red-and-white building at right.

Night photograph of a large festive entrance arch decorated with yellow, red and green ornamental patterns, lotus motifs and two purple trident emblems at the top. Strings of bunting and small flags run above. Life-size painted banners flank the gateway, including a standing figure in white robes and another in saffron. People walk and cycle through the street in the foreground, many carrying bags, and rows of bicycles are parked to the left. The painted banner at the centre of the arch shows a figure in a framed panel. The street is lit by electric bulbs and a tall lamp at right.

A street scene on a busy road in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, showing a richly decorated temporary arch with painted yellow, red and green floral and peacock motifs topped by trident (trishul) emblems, strung with orange and white bunting and orange flags. Beside it stands a tall scaffold-like tower of bamboo and poles. A yellow auto-rickshaw with a black canopy is at left, and a man on a bicycle in a white shirt walks beside a man in a grey striped shirt and a woman in a dark sari carrying a bag. Traffic signs and blue Lions Club and Tata signboards line the road.

A decorated ceremonial gateway of green and yellow fabric triangles arches over a street, framed by banana leaves and bunches of bananas, with a loudspeaker horn on a pole at the top. Large printed portraits flank the entrance: on the left a man in a cream turban and black ornate embroidered garment, on the right a man in a cream turban and white robe, each portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Sri Nithyananda". Smaller framed portraits stand at the base. Several people walk through the gate and a motorcycle and bicycle pass by, with a rickshaw and a metal gate visible beyond. Four people are visible.

Photograph of an ornate temple-style entrance gate at a Kumbh Mela site, with a tiered, brightly painted gopuram-like facade decorated with figures and an arched panel of painted deities. A saffron-orange cloth canopy hangs over the open entrance, and a banner beneath the arch reads Nithyanandam Dhyanapeetham. Dusty open ground in front holds several people walking: a man in a white-and-yellow striped turban, a woman in a beige shawl, a man in an orange-and-grey wrap, and a man in a yellow vest beside a red tractor pulling a trailer with a tarpaulin canopy. A steel railway bridge stands on the left, with thatched huts and tents beyond under hazy grey sky.
