A photograph of a procession of women and girls in saffron-orange saris walking barefoot along a paved path under a metal-roofed walkway, many carrying ornate handheld parasols in red, orange, pink, purple and dark blue with fringed tassels and mirror-work borders. Several women wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and bangles. Palm trees and a tall lamp post stand behind them, with a man in white and a few onlookers visible in the background. The scene suggests a ritual or devotional procession.
