A standing man in an ornate maroon and gold brocade sherwani with a cream shawl draped over one shoulder and a gold-embroidered cream waistband stands before a golden throne. He wears an elaborate gold jeweled crown, a heavy gold multi-strand necklace with a pendant, and rings on his fingers, with a red tilak on his forehead and long dark hair. Behind him the golden throne is framed by a rainbow arch of yellow, red, purple, green and white flower garlands, with gold lion-headed armrests and a silver staff with a bird finial at left. Colourful draped fabric in white, orange and red forms the backdrop. This is a photograph of one person.2011-12-15A smiling man seated on an ornate gold throne with carved details, wearing an elaborate gold crown with red stone accents and a red-and-gold brocade sherwani over white dhoti-style trousers. He wears a long gold chain with a pendant and multiple rings, and holds a silver staff topped with a small bird figure. Behind him are garlands of yellow, purple, red and white flowers, and a green cloth drape is visible at left. A small golden figure sits at the base of the throne. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, a crown, ornate gold-and-red clothing and gold necklaces, cues consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, presented in a throne-and-garland setting.2011-12-15 +1 copiesA man seated on an ornate gold throne (peetha) with a tall gold-leaf back and carved lion-head armrests, draped in a thick band of multicoloured flower garlands in yellow, green, purple, pink and white. He wears a gold-and-tan turban with a fan-shaped ornament, a red and maroon embroidered sherwani with gold-toned detailing, white dhoti-style trousers, and a heavy gold pendant necklace. He holds a silver staff topped with a bird figure and rests his other hand on the armrest, smiling. Large marigold and red flower garlands lie at his feet on the dais. A translucent gold shawl hangs from his shoulders. A faint bird logo appears in the upper left corner.2011-12-11December 11 20112011-12-11 +1 copiesA smiling man sits barefoot on an ornate gold throne decorated with multicolored flower garlands in red, yellow, white, purple and green. He wears a maroon pleated turban with a red sash draped over his shoulder, a sequined lavender and silver embroidered sherwani, red trousers, gold necklaces and a red bindi. He holds a white silver staff topped with a bird figure in his left hand and rests his right arm on the throne armrest. Appearance-based candidate with distinctive ceremonial regalia: a person, seated in person as a central figure at a festival event.2011-12-16 +1 copiesA man seated on an ornate gold throne decorated with bands of multicoloured flower garlands in white, yellow, purple, red and green. He wears a cream turban, a red and gold embroidered sherwani, a cream dupatta draped over one shoulder, a gold pendant necklace and a long multicoloured flower garland, with a red bindi on his forehead. His bare feet rest on a cushion and are decorated with flower garlands. Possible appearance-based candidate for a person, but cues are not distinctive enough to confirm. Ceremonial stage setting. He wears a multicoloured orange, pink and red turban with a jewelled brooch, a red-pink dhoti and matching shawl draped over the shoulder, and a long white and red flower garland with red-and-yellow flower tassels hanging to his knees. A rudraksha mala crosses his chest, with beaded bands on his wrists and upper arms. He is barefoot on the platform. To the left a woman in a blue blouse holds a tray and attends to the ceremony. The backdrop is a painted sunlit cityscape of pale gold and peach tones with a white bird logo in the upper left corner.2011-11-27A seated man in an ornate gold-embroidered sherwani with a red turban and a long red shawl sits on a gilded throne with lion-armrests. He wears a heavy gold bead necklace and holds a silver staff with a bird-topped finial. Behind him are garlands of marigolds and roses in yellow, red, purple and white, and a green cloth covers a figure at left. Bare feet rest on a red cushion. The setting suggests a pada-puja ceremony on a raised dais. Appearance-based candidate for a person is uncertain: the throne, royal regalia and bare-footed pose match the event context but the face and hair alone are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2011-12-14December 29 20082008-12-29November 02 20132013-11-02 +1 copiesDecember 14 20112011-12-14
