The foreground man on the left is bald, wears thin round glasses and a rudraksha mala, and is wrapped in white cloth with maroon borders. The next man has white tripundra markings on his forehead and arms and wears white cloth. Two younger men further right also wear white garments with maroon edging and fold their hands. At the right edge, a figure in saffron-orange robes sits partly visible. Bronze and brass vessels sit in the lower foreground near bare feet.2011-09-25September 10 20112011-09-10September 21 20132013-09-21A photograph of a shaved-headed man in a white dhoti and white upper cloth, with white horizontal tripundra lines on his forehead and a small red dot between them, wearing a dark wooden rudraksha mala. His eyes are closed and he appears absorbed in ritual or meditation, possibly during a puja. A young boy with a white forehead marking and red bindi sits with eyes closed beside him, and a partly visible person in white with yellow-edged cloth stands at the left edge. A gold-framed mirror or frame is visible at the right edge against a pale wall. The man's appearance does not clearly match the page's claim of a person's presence, so he is described by role only.2010-10-10October 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copiesSeptember 18 20102010-09-18Photo 11735817A photograph of a seated group of men in plain white dhotis and shawls with red-bordered edges, several with white and yellow sacred markings on their foreheads and arms and rudraksha malas around their necks. In the foreground, a young man on the left with short hair and a dark bindi-like mark sits with hands folded, while a shaved-headed man in the centre wears white ash horizontal stripes on his forehead and arms. Behind them a bald, lighter-skinned man in white and red shawl sits among other seated devotees and attendees in white. A metal railing and an upper-level crowd are visible in the background.2010-09-08 +1 copiesA group of shaved-headed men in white dhotis and shawls sit cross-legged on orange mats during a ritual, with brass plates, small oil lamps and a clear plastic container in front of them. Several wear rudraksha malas. The man in the centre foreground wears white clothes with a red-and-gold border, a tilak on his forehead, and round glasses, and holds his hands together. On the right, a man in saffron-orange robes with a bare shoulder sits with eyes closed and a rudraksha mala around his neck. Other men sit behind them, some reciting or looking down. The page describes a Karthikai Deepam lamp-lighting, but the visible scene shows only the ritual seating and objects, with no identifiable a person depicted with confidence.2010-11-21A photograph of two men seated on the floor in a ceremonial setting, both wearing white dhoti-style garments with gold-bordered cloth over their shoulders. The man on the left has a shaved head with a small tilak, a beaded mala around his neck, and his hands are joined in his lap. The man on the right has long hair tied back, a white band across his forehead, and patterned markings on his upper arms and chest; his hands are held together in front of him. Several other seated people are visible in the background, and the atmosphere suggests a puja or satsang.2012-05-21
