August 03 20092009-08-03Night-time photograph of an outdoor garden of small thatched-roof shrines with red-and-white striped plinths, arranged around a dirt path lined with young saplings. Each plinth-shrine holds a small deity murti under a thatched canopy, with strings of lights and orange-and-saffron flags above. Purple and orange information boards list Tamil text, and a green board stands at the right edge. A few figures in white clothing are faintly visible among the shrines, but none is clearly identifiable.2009-08-05August 03 20092009-08-03Night photograph of an outdoor ground lit for an event. A thatched-roof pavilion or hall stands behind a low fence strung with rows of small warm yellow-orange lights and bright white lamp posts. A tall flagpole rises beside the structure, and dark trees frame the scene. A large blurred shadow of a person holding a camera falls across the foreground ground. No readable signs are legible; two banners sit against the fence. Overall the scene is a decorated evening venue with no visible ceremony details.2009-08-03Night photograph of an outdoor temple complex lit by strong floodlights and strings of colourful lights along a covered shed. A dirt courtyard leads toward an orange-walled structure decorated with red and white fairy lights, with a lit shrine area and garlanded hangings under the roof. On the left, a few people sit and stand near stone pillars, one figure in white clothing standing near the shed. Several small figures are visible in the lit area. No identifiable a person figure is clearly present in this view.2010-10-12Night-time outdoor scene on a dirt ground at an ashram-like site. Strings of green, red and white fairy lights line a path and trees on the left, and a bright floodlight glows near the centre beside a dark green crop field. Blurred seated figures in the lower right, including a woman in white and a woman in grey, watch from the foreground under a dark sky.2016-01-02A night view of a wide sandy dirt path lit by blue-white floodlights and strings of multicoloured fairy lights. On the right, a red fabric wall is decorated with lights, and banana plants stand along a wooden fence. On the left, a lit open-sided pavilion has a few seated figures in white clothing on the sand, and small distant figures in pale clothing walk along the path. Strands of coloured lights run into the darkness toward the horizon.2010-07-24October 07 20082008-10-07A night-time photograph of an open dirt ground at a temple-festival site, lit by a bright floodlight and strings of multicoloured fairy lights along a fence and trees. Several figures walk across the ground: a person in an orange robe and another in a dark orange-brown sari, plus people in white dhoti-style or white kurta clothing, one carrying a dark shoulder bag. A white van stands at the left edge. In the distance, an illuminated gateway with white lights and a lit structure sits atop a rise above a green crop field.2016-01-02A night photograph of an open courtyard at a temple complex. In the centre stands a tall, illuminated flagstaff or column rising from a white stepped plinth, with palm trees behind it against a dark sky. A small dark figure, possibly a statue or seated figure, sits on the plinth in front of the column. Rows of stone figures and small statues line the left side, and a few light-coloured clothed people walk near the right edge. Circular patterned markings are set into the ground across the paved area.2010-07-13A night photograph of an outdoor ritual pavilion decorated with strings of coloured fairy lights and a canopy of fabric panels with banana plants at the entrance. Under the tent, a few people sit on white and yellow cloth-covered platforms at the left, some in white and orange clothing, with a raised platform and a small lit area in the centre. To the right, a large yellow and white banner with a portrait and Kannada script is mounted on a lit building. Dark ground in the foreground, with the scene lit mainly by the lights.2009-09-26November 17 20052005-11-17
