A tall, richly carved South Indian temple gopuram rises against a pale evening sky, its tiers covered in sculpted figures and lit gold by low sunlight. White stone deity figures stand in niches along the tower, and a yellow-walled compound with a decorative white parapet of rounded finials runs along the base. A small signboard is set in the lower wall and a tree branch and rooftop antenna sit at the right edge. No people are visible in the scene.

Photograph of a large temple gopuram at dusk, its tiered tower covered in white and cream sculpted figures and decorative motifs, rising above a yellow-walled temple compound. In the open paved plaza in front, a few dozen-or-fewer people walk about in saris, dhotis and casual clothes, a bare-chested man in a white dhoti stands at right, and small roadside stalls with awnings and goods line the left edge. Tall street lamp and leafy trees frame the scene against a pale evening sky.

A dusk street scene in front of a tall, ornately carved golden-toned gopuram temple tower with many tiers of sculpted figures. Two people walk along the paved road in the foreground: one in white traditional dress carrying a dark bag, and another in white with an orange shoulder bag. A red-walled small building with a green sign stands at left beside a parked blue-covered cart, and a smaller golden shrine tower appears in the background. Parked white vehicles, utility poles with wires and a few distant figures complete the street.

A tall, tiered gopuram temple gateway of a South Indian temple, its sculpted tower covered in carved figures, deities and niches in grey-white stone against a clear blue sky. Electric wires cross the sky at the upper right. The lower gateway opens into a dark entrance passage flanked by pillars, and a small stone figure sits at the lower right corner of the wall. No people are visible in the frame.

A group of about a dozen people walks across a paved courtyard toward a tall, ornately carved gopuram tower of a South Indian temple, its tiers covered in sculpted figures. Most walkers wear white dhotis and shirts; a few women wear white saris and a man in front wears an orange-saffron dhoti. A bare-headed man in orange-saffron robes walks at the front right, and an elderly man in saffron wraps stands at right beside a low tiled-roof building with white walls. Clear blue sky and a utility line overhead.

Dusk street scene in front of a large ornate gopuram temple tower with many white figures on its tiers, beside a low tiled-roof building. Many people walk across an open paved plaza in white dhotis and white shirts, and some wear saffron-orange cloth; one man in a white shirt and dark trousers carries a black bag. Market stalls with red and orange signboards and hanging goods line the left side, and a van and a parked motorbike sit at the right. Several dozen people are visible, a mix of devotees and pedestrians, with a drum-shaped black bin in the foreground.

A tall, ornately carved stone gopuram of a South Indian temple rises against a pale blue sky. The tiered tower is covered in rows of sculpted figures, pillars and niches, weathered to a pale cream colour, with a rounded finial at the top. At its right stands a long boundary wall with scalloped battlement-like coping and reddish-brown striped paintwork. A tree with orange flowers grows at the lower left beside a street lamp and a palm, and a few birds fly in the upper left. No people are visible.

Photograph of the upper section of a yellow-painted South Indian style gopuram temple tower against a pale grey sky. Its tiers are covered with carved sculptures of deities, lions and figures in relief, and a large makara-like or lion face sits on the corner. Several dark rounded finials line the roofline, with a metal scaffold frame and a light pole above them. A small bird perches near the edge of the roof. No people are visible.

Dusk procession outside a tall, ornate gopuram-style temple tower with pale sculpted tiers and white finials, set behind a yellow compound wall. Around twenty devotees walk across an open paved courtyard in a loose group. Most wear white dhotis and white shirts with saffron/orange shawls draped over their shoulders, and several wear rudraksha malas. Several in the front and middle wear saffron/orange robes instead, one holding a walking staff, and some carry garlands and flower strings. A goat walks at the left edge near a person in white. A metal lighting gantry and utility pole stand at the right, with trees and a few cars behind the wall.
