In the foreground, a man in an orange turban, orange shawl and white dhoti reaches over a large metal tray holding a banana leaf heaped with rice dishes in yellow, orange and green. Behind him, several men in white kurtas with orange shawls stand and watch; one holds a steel cup, and one wears a rudraksha mala with a pendant. A ceremonial gold-tipped staff and a colourful umbrella appear at the left edge.2007-01-12Outdoors on a hillside with green palms and dry scrub behind, a man in an orange turban and orange shawl over a white lower garment and a bare chest serves food from a metal tray lined with a green banana leaf. He holds a serving ladle over rice and orange-tinged vegetable preparations. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and orange shawls stand watching; one woman in a white sari with orange shawl and beaded necklace holds a water bottle, and a young man in white holds a steel tumbler. Part of a red and gold umbrella or canopy is visible at left. Photo-based description; the man has distinctive long hair, orange turban and ornate bare-chest adornment cues, so he is described as a person serving prasad.2007-01-12A covered open-sided pavilion where several men in white kurtas with orange shawls serve food from steel vessels. In the foreground a young man in a white kurta with embroidered trim and an orange shawl, with a red tilak on his forehead, reaches into a steel pot with a ladle, while others stand beside him serving rice and yellow food onto steel plates. On the left an older man in glasses wears a rudraksha mala. A bearded man in white with a shawl stands behind the serving line. Steel plates and pots fill the foreground, and the roof is thatched with bamboo-like matting. The scene looks like a communal meal service.2007-02-15February 28 20092009-02-28February 28 20092009-02-28
