July 20 20132013-07-20A seated man in orange robes sits on a red velvet throne set on a raised red-cushioned dais, holding a silver staff in one hand and a small object in the other, wearing a long gold-bead necklace. Before him, a woman in a white sari sits on the floor with palms pressed together in namaste, and a shaven-headed man in orange robes kneels at the right, also with palms joined. Behind the throne is a painted backdrop of a stone temple gateway with orange and colourful garlands, flanked by a large forest tree scene. Brass lamps stand on either side. The seated figure matches the Swamiji candidate by appearance: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ornate gold necklace, so the identification is probable. Overhead, fluorescent ceiling lights.2012-06-03June 03 20122012-06-03A stage event with a red rose and rose-petal backdrop. A seated figure in a golden ornate throne wears an orange-brown turban, a white flower garland and saffron-orange robes, with a trident and a small golden umbrella canopy above. Three elderly men in orange and saffron robes sit to the left, one with a rudraksha-style garland and white beard. Red carpet and floral arrangements sit on the stage.2015-05-27A photograph of a seated figure on a red-cushioned throne in front of a decorated shrine with garlands and a painted backdrop of large banyan trees. The seated figure wears an orange-saffron robe, a gold necklace and long dark hair, with hands pressed together in namaste. Brass oil lamps stand on either side of the dais. A woman in white garments kneels at left with hands folded in prayer, and a shaven-headed man in orange robes kneels at right, also in namaste. Red floral-patterned cushions cover the steps before the throne. The seated figure may be Swamiji (probable) based on the long hair, saffron robe and ornate gold necklace, shown seated on a throne as a ceremonial presider.2012-06-03November 12 20152015-11-12 +1 copiesNovember 12 20152015-11-12 +1 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes raises his right hand in blessing on a red-and-black zebra-patterned throne set before a painted temple gateway backdrop with carved stone pillars, green foliage and floral garlands. Bare-chested with a red-trimmed saffron cloth draped over his shoulder. Two devotees sit on the floor before the throne with palms joined: a bald man in white dhoti and shawl on the left, and a woman in orange sari on the right. Gold lamp stands with oil lamps flank the throne, a gold-fringed beaded curtain hangs behind, and a small table holds fruit and flowers. The scene is a satsang or discourse setting. Appearance-based cues including the saffron robe, rudraksha mala and throne suggest a person in person, seated as the teacher.2011-02-28 +1 copies
