A night procession carries an ornate, brightly painted palanquin or ratha with a deity murti visible in the lit shrine, decorated with red, yellow, blue and white floral and geometric panels. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts walk beside and behind it, one holding a large orange umbrella against the rain. A man in white stands near the front carrying a pole of the palanquin, and the wet ground reflects the lights. Three or four people are clearly visible in the foreground, with others partly hidden behind the shrine.
