Outdoor padapuja ceremony in which a person seated on a red cushioned throne, wearing rust-red draped robes, a gold-and-beaded garland and white tilak, extends a hand in blessing over a devotee kneeling before the seat. Another devotee in white with an orange shawl bends forward, hands folded, while red flower petals lie near the feet. Behind them, women in red and maroon saris hold brass tridents and ritual items beside saffron-shawled men and a woman in white with folded hands. Red and yellow decorative cloth and palms frame the open-air setting. Seated figure appears to be a person, the throne-seated figure receiving padapuja.2013-12-26A photograph of a seated figure in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair swept back, wearing a white and orange flower garland, placing a hand on the head of a kneeling devotee in white clothes.
