KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 12/29/2020

A photo in a covered concrete carport where a seated figure in saffron and red clothing with a red turban and a flower garland sits on the flatbed of a pickup truck, hands raised in blessing. Sacks stacked in the truck bed carry printed labels, and a white tray holding offerings sits on the tailgate. A woman in orange robes and a face mask holds a small brass lamp aloft toward the truck, while another woman in an orange sari stands at right. At left, a woman in a white dhoti-style garment and gold trim holds a toddler beside a girl in a cream dress with red beaded necklaces. The scene resembles an arati offering to a seated teacher.

Outdoor photo under a blue pop-up canopy in a parking lot in front of a brick building with large windows. Three women in orange and saffron clothing stand around a maroon tablecloth-covered table holding grey plastic bags of food and red-covered books. A woman in a white and gold sari stands at left center. Seated behind the table is a figure with a saffron turban, long beaded necklaces and rudraksha malas, but appearance is uncertain and the page does not state a person is present. The table also holds a plate and a red book titled in English. Three women in saffron and orange wear red bindis, and one wears a black face mask.

A photo of four women on a covered veranda with lattice, potted plants and a swing seat, several wearing black face masks. Two women in saffron-orange garments stand centre: the one on the left wears an orange sari with a thin edge and a bindi, holding a phone; the one beside her wears an orange kurta and trousers with a long rudraksha mala, a shawl over her head and a tilak on her forehead. On the right stands a woman in a pale floral kurta and dark trousers. A seated woman in a red top and checked trousers sits at left. White sacks and plastic bags sit on a table behind them. No one is identified by face; the saffron-clad woman with mala and tilak is described by attire only.

Outdoor photo at a house entrance with a silver SUV parked beside an ornate gold gate. A man in a saffron-orange robe, long swept-back hair, a white forehead mark and a rudraksha mala stands smiling while a woman in a cream sari with a braid receives him. A man in white holds a white-and-red flower garland, and another man in white with a rudraksha mala stands at the right. Several onlookers in the background, including a child in front, watch from a crowd near a two-storey house with orange flag on its gate. The orange-robed man shows distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and a mala, which are appearance cues, but the identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.

A photograph on a dirt path beside a silver minivan with its side door open, flanked by coconut palms and thatched huts. A bald, older man in an orange robe and shawl stands at the van door with his hands folded, a small red mark on his forehead. To the left, a man in an orange turban and orange robe smiles and gestures toward him. In the centre foreground, a young man in an orange robe holds a silver pot with a green leafy offering. Two people in white dhotis and kurtas stand to the right, one with palms pressed together in greeting.

Night photograph of an outdoor gathering with rows of blue and red plastic chairs and a large crowd of mostly white-clad attendees in the background, with string lights and orange flags overhead. In the foreground, a figure in a saffron-orange turban and sleeveless saffron robe, wearing a white and pink garland and a large gold-yellow bead necklace, sits on a decorated yellow-cushioned seat and reaches out to touch a baby held by a smiling woman in a light green sari and a dark-robed devotee. Several men in white shirts and a woman in yellow dupatta stand close around the seat, with fruit and a flower arrangement at the edge of the platform.
