The Ganesha wears a gold and red crown, a white tilak, and a pink silk garment with a jewelled garland, and is decorated with white and red flower garlands. A brass oil lamp burns to the right, and a kalasha wrapped in orange silk with a gold necklace and green leaves stands in front on a black table, with the priest's hand reaching toward the murti. A shirtless priest in a white dhoti with a red and gold border stands at left, lifting a brass vessel high and pouring liquid over the crown of the deity. Yellow turmeric-coloured liquid runs down the trunk, head, and red cloth covering the seat, and a red kumkum mark is visible on the figure's chest. Only one physical person is visible.2026-02-07Photo 99198602022-07-17 +1 copiesPhoto 99223832021-03-01 +1 copiesA bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a gold border stands at left, wearing a rudraksha mala and white sacred ash markings on his arms and chest, and holding a small brass vessel while pouring or offering over a large dark green-black stone Ganesha murti. The Ganesha is seated, with a gold-coloured crown, an elephant trunk and tusk, and yellow and red stains of abhishekam running down its base and pedestal. Its raised hands hold a broken tusk and an axe-like object. The pale yellow wall and tall tassel garlands in red, green, blue and gold flank the scene. This appears to be a Ganesha abhishekam ritual.2026-02-07
