A photograph of a woman seated at lower left in a magenta blouse and cream saree with a striped border, a white tilak on her forehead, holding a lit oil lamp in both hands before a deity murti. The murti of Goddess Lakshmi stands in a gold carved shrine with a crown, white jasmine garlands and pink and green floral decorations, wearing an orange-red saree. A red cloth covers the altar in front, with a kalasha topped with leaves and yellow and red flowers, brass bowls, burning incense sticks, and a plate of offerings with flowers. Hanging green mango leaves and beaded strings decorate the top of the shrine. This appears to be a Varalaxmi puja.
