Most are women: a woman in a white saree with a gold border and a rudraksha mala at the centre, a woman in a white dress with a red and white shawl, a woman in a blue-green top at the right edge, and several others in pink, green and yellow sarees. To the right, a woman in white-and-gold saree with a dark beaded mala and red bindi stands with palms pressed together in namaste. Other women in yellow shawls and white clothes hold orange-wrapped trays at left, and silver bowls of fruit including a red apple and offerings sit in the foreground. In the foreground, a woman with long dark hair and a red bindi holds a white slate-like block against her head while looking down, with a pen in her other hand. Beside her, a woman in white with a shawl writes on paper, and another woman at right holds a pen and a small stone slate. Behind them, a woman in a blue and pink sari sits near gold-coloured pillars, and a man in white sits at left. The setting appears to be a formal ritual or training session.

Two women in the foreground have their hands raised to their heads in a gesture of blessing or reverence, while a long-braided woman in white stands with head bowed. Background shows more white-clad people standing and seated, and a dark stage area with orange cloth.

Several women in white saris with orange-red shawls stand in a row inside a hall with a corrugated ceiling and hanging coloured cloth banners. Many have white blindfold bands tied over their eyes, and one woman at right ties a band on another. Their foreheads bear white marks, and some wear beaded necklaces and earrings. Behind them, seated devotees in white and orange clothing sit on a patterned mat in the background. No identifiable a person appearance is visible in this frame.
