A photograph of a man in a flowing saffron-orange robe standing barefoot beside the large trunk of a banyan tree with dangling aerial roots. He stands on the raised stone platform around the tree base, facing left in a quiet, still pose, with long dark hair falling past his shoulders. Sunlight and shadow play across the bare earth and stone steps, and the sprawling canopy fills the background.

A photograph of a single man standing barefoot in profile beside a large banyan tree with many aerial roots, on a circular raised stone platform with steps. He wears a loose orange saffron garment draped over one shoulder and wrapped around the lower body, and has long dark hair swept back and a tilak on his forehead. He stands with his hands clasped at his waist, facing the trunk in quiet devotion. Loose sticks lie on the earth in the platform, dappled sunlight falls across the ground, and a white wall and rocks are visible behind.2010-11-18October 23 20112011-10-23A photograph of a single person in an orange saffron-coloured robe standing barefoot on a raised stone platform beneath a large banyan tree. He leans his head and chest against a thick aerial root trunk, hands pressed together near his chest, eyes closed in a devotional pose. A rudraksha mala hangs at his neck. The platform has coloured powder rangoli designs in red, green and purple at its base, and a faint purple sticker is on the stone wall at lower left. Sandy ground, a low orange boundary wall and other trees surround the scene. Visible text runs down the right edge, including a copyright line and an archive credit.2011-01-23A barefoot man with long dark hair stands on bare earth beside a huge old banyan tree with thick grey trunks and many hanging aerial roots. He wears a flowing saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder and looks off to the side. A dark hollow opening sits at the base of the trunk behind him. Possible a person depiction: an orange-robed figure with long swept-back hair and a bare-footed ascetic presentation, but the face is too small and the cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2006-04-19July 11 20102010-07-11A barefoot person in an orange draped robe stands on a sandy stone step, leaning forward with one hand against the thick trunk of a large banyan tree. Aerial roots hang and spread around the trunk, and the lower trunks form a dense cluster beside the figure. The person wears a dark rudraksha-style necklace and has long dark hair pulled back. Pale kolam-style chalk lines mark the step. Sunlight falls across the bark, and a glass-tiled surface and a metal pole are visible at the left edge.2011-02-12A barefoot person stands on a dirt ground in front of a large banyan tree with many thick hanging and prop roots, wearing a loose saffron-orange wrap that drapes over one shoulder and down to the feet. The person has long dark wavy hair and a small red mark on the forehead, and looks off to the side. Green leaves and branches fill the background, with a dark hollow beneath the roots on the right and a low rock border on the left. The person has long dark hair, a red forehead mark, and an orange wrap, which matches the appearance-based cues for Swamiji (probable) as a candidate standing in person.2006-04-19December 02 20092009-12-02A photograph of a man with long dark hair standing barefoot beside a large banyan tree on a curved stone edge over reddish earth. He wears a flowing orange saffron wrap over a red sleeveless top, one hand resting against the trunk and the other holding the cloth at his waist. Behind him to the right, a seated person in white clothing sits on a stone ledge near grey metal pillars under the shaded canopy.2009-08-24A photograph of a single standing man in an outdoor setting beside a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala draped across his chest, his hands held together in front of him. Long dark hair falls to his shoulders. Garlands of yellow and orange flowers hang on the tree trunk. A low stone platform surrounds the tree base, and nearby stands a small black stone altar with brass oil lamps and a dark bowl of offerings. The ground is bare earth with dappled sunlight, and a red-painted stone structure appears at the right. A rough sign reads Pada-Puja context implied by setting; the scene suggests a padapuja at a sacred tree.2010-11-18 +1 copiesApril 19 20062006-04-19April 19 20062006-04-19
