A photograph of a blessing moment inside a temple hall. A man in saffron-orange robes and a long gold-beaded orange necklace, with a red bindi and white forehead markings, stands with both hands raised, one palm pressed on the bald head of a older man in a red shirt who bows with palms joined in namaskar. The bowing man wears a plain red shirt. Behind them, several people in orange and white dhotis and sacred ash stand near a metal railing, and a golden deity murti and ornate temple decorations are visible in the background. The blessing appears to be a ritual gesture of blessing between devotee and a sannyasi-type figure.2013-04-16May 20 20122012-05-20A photograph of a ritual blessing indoors. A man in an orange-red saffron robe, bare-shouldered, with a white horizontal vibhuti band across his forehead, long dark hair swept back, rudraksha malas and gold necklaces, and a beaded belt, places his hand on the head of an elderly bald man in a white shirt who stands with his hands joined in namaste. Other men in orange and white stand nearby, one wearing a white tilak band, and a man on the left with white forehead markings also joins his hands. Behind them is a framed deity image with a gold arch and a red-lit backdrop. The orange-robed man appears to be a probable Swamiji by appearance, given his long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha adornments, while the elderly man receives the blessing as a devotee. Seven people are visible.2012-09-28October 11 20122012-10-11June 20 20132013-06-20October 11 20132013-10-11October 29 20112011-10-29A figure in a magenta sari with a gold-bordered pallu and multiple rudraksha malas stands at right, placing a hand on the head of a grey-haired elderly man in white shirt and glasses who bows with palms pressed together. The standing figure has a white tilak, red kumkum dot, long swept-back hair and holds a folded paper in the other hand. Behind them, several people stand with hands folded in prayer, including a young boy in a pink shirt and a man in a striped shirt, in an indoor hall with ceiling lights. Blessing darshan at a satsang setting; the magenta-sari figure's identity is uncertain from appearance.2011-10-25Indoor photo of a woman in an orange sari with a heavy gold necklace and earrings applying a vibhuti or kumkum mark to the forehead of a smiling man in a white shirt who leans forward with hands joined and holds a yellow fruit. Behind them several women stand in white, cream and green saris, some wearing red-brown beaded necklaces, and a woman in a yellow patterned shawl watches. A wall-mounted air conditioner and dark red curtains are in the background. A woman in an orange sari with a white forehead mark, in the foreground, appears to be a devotee-administered blessing role; no one is clearly identified as a person.2014-07-11 +1 copiesOctober 29 20132013-10-29 +1 copiesOctober 25 20132013-10-25September 28 20122012-09-28
