An older man with a shaved head, white tilak on his forehead, bare-chested with an orange-red lower garment, a long white jasmine garland with red flowers and a gold necklace, wears an ornate gold crown and raises his right hand with rings to bless the head of a younger man kneeling before him. The younger man has his hands folded in namaste, smiles, wears an ornate gold crown, a white garland, an orange-red robe, gold bangles and a small ear device. Behind them stands a gold-embossed throne and a framed portrait of a woman with a white-marked forehead, and a second man in white clothes and gold necklace is visible in the background.2012-04-29A photo of a ceremonial blessing on a golden throne draped in red cushions and white flower garlands. A seated man in a white turban and white robe with gold-bordered cloth rests his hand on the head of a shaved-headed man in white kurta and dhoti who kneels before him on a red-covered dais. The seated man sits on a gold ornate throne with red upholstery inside a stone temple hall, wearing a headband and gold ear adornments. Several onlookers in white and light clothing stand and sit behind them, and a partly visible person in white stands in the background. Behind them stand a golden throne and a silver staff, and a golden lion-head ornament sits in the foreground. A woman in white with a rudraksha mala watches at right.2014-05-13A standing elder in an ornate gold crown and rudraksha malas, bare-chested with an orange dhoti and a white-and-red flower garland, places his hand on the head of a kneeling devotee in orange robes and a flower garland who presses palms together and smiles. A banner in Tamil script hangs on the right wall, and microphones are visible at lower left. a person cues: the standing figure has swept-back hair, a gold crown and rudraksha malas; this is an appearance-based label only.2012-04-29 +2 copiesMay 10 20142014-05-10May 12 20122012-05-12June 22 20092009-06-22May 13 20142014-05-13
