November 01 20112011-11-01A photograph of a shirtless man in profile with eyes closed and palms pressed together in anjali mudra before a black stone deity murti. The man wears a yellow and green striped dhoti or cloth, red and orange rudraksha beaded necklaces and wrist bands, and his hair is pulled back into a bun. The murti is draped in red and yellow cloth and is set within an arched white stone niche framed by a yellow curtain, with trees blurred in the background. Ornaments and garlands surround the image. Cues are not sufficient to identify the man, so he is described only by his role as a devotee at prayer.2011-12-01December 01 20112011-12-01A photograph of a man with hair tied in a bun and bare-chested, wearing a multicoloured green, gold and maroon cloth wrap, rudraksha beads on his neck and arms, standing with palms pressed together in prayer. He is in the right foreground, in profile, eyes closed. Behind him, out of focus, a black stone deity murti sits in a stone arch with a yellow drape, draped in a red cloth and white and yellow garlands. Trees blur in the background. No swami candidate is confirmed by appearance cues beyond the bare-chested devotee's adornments, so identity is uncertain.2011-12-01A man stands in profile at right, bare-chested, with long dark hair, hands pressed together in anjali mudra at his face in prayer. He wears a red and gold patterned shoulder cloth and a green and red striped silk waist cloth with gold bangles and a gold bead necklace. In the blurred background a black deity murti with red garment and garland stands before a yellow draped arch, with offerings in the lower left.2011-10-31November 02 20112011-11-02A photograph of a man in profile standing before a red-draped shrine with a black stone deity murti dressed in red cloth, yellow tassels and a gold necklace, set in a white arched niche. The man has his hair tied in a bun, wears a red and cream silk dhoti with gold border and a bare upper body, gold and red beaded necklaces, and red beaded bracelets. He stands with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, eyes closed, in prayer. Red offerings are heaped in the foreground and green foliage is blurred behind. One physical person is visible; the man's identity is not established by any visible cue, so he is described by role as a devotee.2011-10-22September 03 20112011-09-03 +2 copiesA man in profile stands with palms pressed together in namaskar before a blurred deity murti draped in yellow cloth with red and maroon garlands. He wears a blue upper cloth draped over bare shoulders, a bright orange waist cloth with gold border, and beaded bangles on his wrists plus a red-and-white beaded necklace. Behind him, a black stone deity murti with multiple arms, draped in a pink cloth and wearing a garland, sits before a yellow curtain and a carved white stone arch. The base of the shrine is heaped with red kumkum, and dark trees surround the open-air setting.2011-10-28A man stands in profile in front of a black deity murti draped in orange cloth, framed by an arched stone niche strung with orange beads and set before a pile of red flowers. His hands are pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes closed. The setting is an outdoor temple area with trees behind. The figure's appearance is consistent with the page reference but uncertain, so identity is not asserted.2011-09-11
