Photograph of several people walking through a temple gateway beneath a blue-and-white shrine panel showing a seated goddess flanked by two white elephants. Foreground figures wear saffron-orange robes: a young man in front holding his hands together, followed by a man in orange cloth and a woman in a red sari with a hand held at her waist. An older man in white ritual dhoti and shawl walks at right. Metal railings and a yellow-framed doorway surround the path, with devotees visible at left behind the barrier.2008-09-04September 04 20082008-09-04September 04 20082008-09-04Photograph of a group leaving a temple entrance through a metal gate. A young man in the lead wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl and walks barefoot; behind him follow another saffron-clad man, a man in white, and an older woman in a deep red sari. A bearded man in orange stands further back. Above the doorway stands a painted deity murti in a blue niche flanked by two white elephants, with a shrine gate, yellow doorframe and a sign reading Shri Varada Swamy Temple. Visible people number about five. No candidate can be confirmed from appearance, so the identity of the person in the lead is uncertain.2008-09-04September 04 20082008-09-04Outdoor photograph at a temple precinct with blue metal railings and red-and-white kerb stripes. A slim figure with long dark hair and an orange wrap stands at left, smiling, with an orange cloth draped over the shoulder. Beside and in front are other devotees in orange and maroon robes, one in a red garment with a shawl. A man in white dhoti stands at right, and a shrine with a painted deity panel and white elephant motifs is behind the railings.2008-09-04Devotees walk across a wet paved courtyard toward a temple complex with white and cream stone architecture and blue metal crowd barriers. In the foreground a man in saffron-orange robes with a bare chest, hands folded in front, walks at centre. Beside him stands a man in orange with a pink-orange shawl and a bead necklace, and to the right a bearded man in orange robes wears glasses. Behind them, men in white dhoti-style cloths and a woman in a red sari with orange border walk along. A shrine entrance with lit lamps and a signboard in Telugu appear in the background, with a few other people beyond the barriers.2008-09-04A photograph taken outdoors at dusk of five people walking along a paved path beside a barrier of blue metal railings and a red-and-white striped low wall. Behind them is a decorative lattice screen of white geometric panels above a grey wall, with a light pole and trees beyond. On the left, a young man in an orange robe with a dark sash walks beside a man in a long orange wrap with a yellow border. Next is a woman in a red sari with dark-rimmed glasses, then an older man in white clothing and glasses. On the far right, a man in an orange robe and orange shawl wears a rudraksha mala.2008-09-04Blurred photograph of a group of people walking outdoors in front of an illuminated temple gopuram-style building with a blue signboard in the upper right. In the foreground, a man in orange saffron robes walks center frame with his hand held at his chest, flanked by other figures in orange and white dhotis, and a woman in a red sari stands at the left edge. Striped ceremonial poles and lamps line the path, and the scene is dusk. The figure in the centre has long dark hair and no visible crown, turban, rudraksha mala or ceremonial gold necklace, so the appearance cues are insufficient to identify him as a person; he is described by role as a devotee in saffron.2008-09-04July 30 20092009-07-30May 31 20122012-05-31September 04 20082008-09-04
