In the foreground a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, a white forehead band, gold earrings and armbands, wears a saffron-orange robe and a beaded necklace while his palms are pressed together in greeting. Beside him an elderly bald priest in saffron and gold-bordered cloth with a white forehead band and white ash marks on his arms holds his hands folded. To the left a man in orange holds a tray of marigold garlands, and a man in orange with rudraksha beads stands nearby. Behind them, a photographer raises a camera and several people in white and orange stand among hanging lamps. Swamiji is a probable match for the smiling man in the foreground, based on his long hair, saffron robe, jewelled ornaments and rudraksha-style beads.2012-07-24A photograph of a bearded man with long dark hair in profile, hands pressed together in anjali mudra, smiling. He wears a rust-red sleeveless garment and a gold chain necklace, and is bare-shouldered. Behind him are a gold-toned draped cloth and a gold pillar, with blurred lights in the background.2017-09-11A dimly lit temple interior with stone pillars and hanging lamps. In the foreground, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, and gold and beaded necklaces, wearing an orange-saffron garment, stands with palms pressed together in namaskar and a broad smile. Behind him, several men in orange and saffron robes stand; one holds a tray of flowers and offerings, and another wears a white head cloth and a rudraksha mala. A man in white clothes stands at right, photographing with a camera. A green garland hangs at the left edge. The scene suggests a temple visit with devotees gathered in worship.2012-07-24A crowded temple interior with bright light from an opening behind. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron wrap, rudraksha mala beads and gold bangles, his palms pressed together in greeting. Around him, orange-robed sannyasis and devotees, some with folded hands, press close. At right, a sannyasi with matted locks and white forehead markings bows his head with palms together. Iron grilles, a hanging garland and a small orange cloth line the walls. A man in a red turban and uniform stands at the back, and a man in white with glasses in the foreground holds his hands in namaskar.2012-01-07June 24 20172017-06-24A photograph of a man with long, swept-back black hair and eyes closed, palms pressed together in namaskar at chest level during a ritual. He wears a red garment over the shoulders and a heavy gold necklace with large round beads, and a red-brown mark is visible on his forehead. Behind him a white fan and draped purple and gold cloth fill the background. At the right edge, another person with curly hair is partly visible. The posture suggests devotional worship at a homa or puja. Swamiji (probable): the long hair, distinctive gold beaded necklace and red garment are the cues offered for the in-person candidate, shown in prayer.2006-10-21December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04August 29 20142014-08-29Photograph inside a temple hall.
