A photograph of a shaved-headed...2021-05-27A photograph taken from behind of a bare-backed man in an orange saffron headwrap and orange shawl draped over the shoulder, wearing a thick rudraksha mala around the neck and a rudraksha bracelet on the upper arm, with a striped yellow and black cloth at the waist. He reaches forward toward an altar covered with red, yellow and white marigold and flower garlands, while another person's hand offers a flower or item from the right edge. Behind him are gold lattice panels with cross-shaped cutouts, a red and white painted panel with a bird motif and a purple flower design, and a faint wisp of smoke or incense in the upper right. Ritual setting consistent with a puja offering.2021-05-27A man in profile on a stage, wearing a rust-orange turban, orange-brown dhoti-style garment with a gold ceremonial necklace and a gold pendant at the chest, long dark hair falling down his back, and a beaded red-and-gold bracelet on his upper arm. He holds a thin wooden stick over a polished brass vessel with curved horn-like handles and gold bands. Behind him a large bright screen glows and a blurred audience sits in the background.2016-12-07A bare-chested man with long dreadlocked black hair, wrapped in a rust-orange cloth around his head and waist, bends forward and presses his forehead to a white stone lingam marked with red and yellow kumkum. A chain of rudraksha beads wraps his head and forearm, and a small gold earring hangs from one ear. Behind him, garlands of red, yellow and white flowers hang on the wall, with glittering ornaments and gold-and-red fabric in the background. The figure has distinctive long locks, an orange head wrap and rudraksha adornments, a probable match for a person performing worship at the lingam in a temple setting.2017-02-24April 14 20182018-04-14Photograph of a man seen from behind, shown from shoulders up. In the foreground, a figure seen from behind has a long, twisted topknot wrapped with a rudraksha mala, a gold ceremonial necklace, and a brown-and-gold draped cloth over bare shoulders. Blurred figures in the background include a man in orange-saffron wrap and a white-clad elder near brightly coloured decorations and a lit oil lamp.
