A photograph of a ritual scene indoors. A bare-chested man with long dreadlocked hair and a full beard, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over his body and a brown shawl, sits on a red cushioned seat in front of an ornate gold throne-back with a gold embossed canopy above. He reaches down with his hand to receive a handful of yellow flowers or turmeric-coloured offering from an older bearded man in a white shirt who kneels beside him. Behind them a woman in a white sari with an orange blouse and a long rudraksha mala stands watching, and a bowl of the same yellow offering sits in the foreground.
