A man with long dark hair, wearing a rust-orange cloth and a rudraksha mala, touches the forehead of an older white-haired man dressed in white kurta-style clothing. The seated guru's left hand is raised with palm open toward the devotee. Behind him stands a golden lion-headed throne or seat decorated with a peacock-feather fan, and a silver trident-like staff rises beside him. A seated woman in white with a beaded necklace watches, and an older woman in white stands at the upper right near a green and gold decorative object. The setting looks like an ashram hall.
