A fire burns in a square pit built from stacked yellow-ochre bricks, topped with flower petals, fruit and offerings. A bearded priest in a white dhoti with a gold-and-beaded neck garland sits at the right, holding a brass bowl, while a priest in a pink-and-white turban and gold necklaces sits beside him. Behind them, many white-clad and bare-chested participants sit in rows. At left, an ornate deity murti or palanquin is decorated with red flowers, and a figure in orange robes sits nearby. A lit lamp post and palm trees appear in the background.2017-05-02December 20 20112011-12-20May 10 20172017-05-10A photograph of a homa fire ritual in a temple-style setting with gold-coloured pillars and draped gold and red fabric.
