A seated meal in a red tent hung with marigold garlands and small mirror ornaments. Long rows of saffron-robed sannyasis sit cross-legged on low gold-trimmed wooden stools before metal thalis and steel tumblers, with a white cloth runner down the middle. Several men wear orange robes and rudraksha malas; one has an orange turban and another an orange headscarf. A bald man in orange on the right holds his hands together in front of a steel tumbler, and a woman in orange with a head covering sits near the centre. A person in white stands at the left edge, and a mustard-yellow cloth covers the floor.2016-05-06 +1 copiesA ritual gathering in a covered open hall with orange-painted walls and a corrugated roof, where many devotees sit cross-legged on mats in rows. Foreground monks in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas hold lit oil lamps or aarti flames, and some are seated before brass plates of offerings, fruit and sweets. Behind them, rows of people in white and orange clothes hold lamps. A camera on a tripod and a red carpet stand at left, and a golden ornamental vessel sits at lower right. Several monks have vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. The scene appears to be a group puja with lamp offerings.2010-11-03Annadhan in 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesAugust 02 20162016-08-02September 11 20172017-09-11 +1 copiesAnnadhan during Allahabad Kumbhamela 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesApril 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesPhotograph of a row of shaved-headed monks in saffron-orange robes sitting cross-legged on the floor with palms pressed together in prayer, some with eyes closed. Several wear rudraksha malas and white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads; one wears a wristwatch and gold bangle. Before them stretch long lines of green banana leaves set with rice, flatbreads, fried snacks and small cups of drink, a community meal setting. Behind them an ornate gold throne and white draped backdrop fill the hall, and a camera tripod stands at the upper left. No figure is identifiable as the central a person candidate; the monks are presented in a seated prayer posture beside the meal.2013-05-20 +2 copiesAnnadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesA seated row of devotees in saffron-orange dhotis and wraps sits cross-legged on the floor of a hall, eating from green banana-leaf plates set on a long row. Several men are bare-chested with rudraksha malas, sacred ash and white markings on their bodies; others wear white necklaces. Plates hold rice, yellow dal, banana slices, pappadum-like flatbreads, pickles, coconut and small bowls, with water bottles along the edge. Their eyes are closed or lowered in prayer-like composure. Behind them, framed portraits and photographs hang on pale pink walls, and a few people in white attire stand at the back.2016-09-30October 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20152015-09-11 +2 copies
