Indoor photo in a warm-lit room with gold curtains and a wall-mounted animal horn trophy. A seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a zebra-striped cushion has long dark hair, a red tilak, rudraksha and gold bead malas, gold armbands, an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, and holds a silver trident. Before him, a man in a light grey-blue shirt and dark trousers kneels barefoot, reaching to touch the orange cloth draped over the throne, with a flower near his feet. At right, a woman in a maroon top and green dupatta kneels and holds the cloth. Whether the seated figure is in person or a statue is unclear, and this appears to be an offering or touching of the feet ritual scene.2012-07-27July 27 20122012-07-27July 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesA photograph of a pada puja in a decorated room. A seated figure in orange-red robes and a red and white flower garland sits on a gold-draped throne with a silver trident held upright beside them and a lit oil lamp in front. Two devotees kneel and hold the seated figure's feet while a man in white shirt and dhoti kneels at right. A standing man in orange robes and rudraksha mala stands at left, and a photographer in white shirt takes pictures. A tray of oranges and fruit sits at right beside flower garlands, with marigold strings and pink flower arrangements on the walls.2014-06-22 +1 copiesMay 31 20182018-05-31A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a swept-back hairstyle, a tilak on his forehead, a gold-and-beaded necklace, and rudraksha-style beads, sitting on an ornate gold throne. He smiles while holding the hand of an older woman in a white sari who kneels before him and holds a red cloth. Silver trident staffs and a floral garland stand near the throne, and a bald man in orange stands behind. The background is draped in red and orange fabric. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has several qualifying cues (swept-back hair, saffron robes, ornate gold necklace, rudraksha beads) and sits on a throne, so the appearance-based label applies.2013-02-08September 16 20122012-09-16A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and a beige turban sits on a chair holding a tall silver trident, wearing a yellow-and-orange-beaded mala and white flower garlands, with a rudraksha mala and ceremonial necklace. Swamiji (probable): a seated figure in saffron clothing with long swept hair and a turban, holding the silver trident, appears in a room with brass oil lamps, a potted plant and a white sofa with a yellow cushion. Two devotees kneel at the lower left and right; one in a white shirt with bird print pours or offers from a small cup, and a woman in a red blouse with a white flower garland holds a plate of fruit and bananas. Brass vessels, a steel bowl and a tray of offerings sit on the floor in front of them, with a flower garland draped across the plate.2014-07-10June 22 20142014-06-22 +1 copiesMarch 10 20132013-03-10A seated figure in an orange-red robe and gold-bordered dhoti holds a silver trident aloft in a home shrine room with gold curtains. A long white and orange garland hangs from his neck, along with a rudraksha mala and gold bangles. Beside him, two young men in saffron robes and rudraksha malas sit on the floor. In front, a man in white dhoti holds a brass plate of red flowers and fruit, while women's hands reach toward a lit oil lamp and flower offering on a tray. Framed portraits of a saffron-robed figure with garlands hang on the left wall, and orange marigold garlands decorate the top of the frame. Appears to be a padapuja or home-visit puja.2014-07-07 +1 copies
