A man in orange-red dhoti and wrap pulls a rope wound around the pole with both hands, while a second figure in similar orange-red robes stands at left, partly cut off by the frame. Yellow and orange cloth canopies hang overhead under a clear sky, and scattered flower petals lie on the white platform.2009-01-02February 23 20152015-02-23A tall copper ceremonial pole with ringed bands rises against a pale sky, topped by a carved finial and tied with white rope. Straw bundles and green leaves are bound at its base, and a person in an orange-red garment and red-and-blue flower garland pulls the rope upward with one bare arm, wearing gold bangles. A grey stage truss runs along the left edge. The figure's face is not shown, so no appearance-based identification is made.2015-01-04September 02 20112011-09-02June 09 20092009-06-09A man in an orange saffron garment with a white flower garland over his shoulder ties rope around a tall copper pillar, pulling its strands taut with both hands. The copper pillar is decorated with carved bands and rope bindings, with white and red flower garlands hanging near its base. Visible cues for an identity candidate are limited to the orange robe and garland, with the face turned away, so the appearance is uncertain.2009-06-09A copper dhwaja stambha (flagstaff) rises against a clear blue sky, topped by a dark wooden carved platform decorated with white and red flower garlands and a dried grass tuft. An orange flag is being raised on the pole, with a white cloth hanging from it and ropes running down the staff. The copper pole has ornate chased bands and a decorative capital. No people are visible in the frame.2013-12-18December 23 20062006-12-23A photograph of a copper dwajastambha, a tall ritual flagpole, set on an ornately carved copper base with a small shrine-like panel bearing a bird-like emblem. A figure in saffron-orange robes and a beaded necklace stands at the pole, raising a long white cloth draped over its top. Green leaves and a palm-leaf bundle are tied near the top. Trees and a blue sky with clouds frame the scene.2006-12-23
