Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots. A bearded man in a white kurta and yellow shawl stands with palms pressed together in namaskar before a dark stone deity murti draped in red cloth and white and yellow flower garlands. A woman in a teal sari with a dark shawl stands at left with hands folded, and a younger person in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands beside him. Concrete posts, a low brick wall and a stone plinth with small offerings surround the shrine. Whether the bearded man is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the identity is unsure.2008-05-25May 25 20082008-05-25May 25 20082008-05-25Outdoor photograph beneath a large shady tree at a sacred site. In the foreground left, a black stone sculpture of a seated sage wears an orange wrap, a garland of yellow and red flowers and an orange head cloth, with a seated orange-clad figure and yellow marigold offerings at its base on a red stone platform. Three standing people in saffron-orange robes perform a ritual: a woman with long dark hair holds a lit lamp, a man with a shaved head and orange head cloth holds a lamp or offering dish, and a bald man at right in orange clothing holds his hands together in namaskar. A small silver-grey bundle and a brass tray with flowers sit on a white cloth below. On the left, a large dark stone deity murti of a seated figure wears a red cloth, a red turban-like crown and white and pink flower garlands, set on a black pedestal with small offerings. Walking past it on the shaded path are three people: a long-haired figure in an orange-saffron robe on the centre, a woman in a teal blue salwar kameez with a dark shawl in the middle, and a bearded man in white kurta with a yellow-orange shawl on the right. The man in the yellow shawl has a long white beard. The orange-robed figure's appearance is not clearly identifiable as a person, so the a person value is unsure.2008-05-25Outdoor photo beneath a broad shade tree at a shrine.
