A photograph taken from a covered balcony overlooking a steep, grassy mountain slope under a corrugated metal roof. In the foreground, a long-haired man in an orange-saffron robe with a grey shawl sits on a black metal bench, leaning forward toward a brass ritual setup. The setup includes a brass tray with small cups, a silver-toned puja vessel, a small brass figure and a brass shrine piece. Probable Swamiji: the seated man has long, swept-back dark hair and orange saffron clothing, which are the qualifying cues. Another person in pink sits behind the bench, and a partly visible head appears at the bottom edge. Railings with decorative scrollwork frame the balcony.2006-05-24A photograph of a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes seated at a metal railing inside a corrugated-roof shrine overlooking a rocky, grassy hillside. He reaches toward a brass puja set with a small silver and gold shrine, bowls and a kalasha-style vessel, while a bowl of rose petals sits in the foreground. A bearded figure in dark clothing is partly visible at lower left, and a plastic water bottle sits at lower right. Probable Swamiji seated in saffron robes with long hair, performing abhishekam-style offerings at the Yamunotri shrine area.2006-05-24A photograph of a long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes seated at a wooden bench inside a corrugated-roof shelter overlooking a steep rocky mountain gorge with green vegetation. The figure holds a small metal cup or vessel over a brass and copper ritual setup on the bench, which includes a brass kalasha-like vessel, a brass deity figure in an arched frame, a conch shell and small brass lamps. A red-stained stone or mound stands near the bench, and a partial head of a person appears in the lower foreground. Below, a crowd of pilgrims in colourful clothing is visible on a metal-railed walkway by the water. This appears to be a ritual abhishekam setting at a mountain shrine.2006-05-24A photograph of a long-haired man in orange and red saffron robes seated on a red wooden railing outdoors, with a small red tilak on his forehead. He leans forward with eyes lowered, one hand resting on the rail while he holds a polished brass vessel, apparently offering water. Behind him, a steep hillside with green trees, a stone path with pilgrims and a wide area draped in grey tarpaulin. A lamp stand with ornate metal detailing appears at the lower right.2006-05-24May 24 20062006-05-24May 24 20062006-05-24A seated man in an orange silk garment, bare-shouldered with a gold-toned sacred thread and a bracelet on his wrist, pours a white liquid from a shell-like vessel over a Sri Meru yantra made of pale tiers on a brass tray. The yantra sits on a peetha-like base amid marigold and jasmine garlands and pink petals, with a smoking fire pit and brass vessels beside it. Behind, a shrine holds a deity murti in red and white adornments flanked by brass lamps and flowers. A person's hand holding a brass vessel is partly visible at lower left, and a tiger-striped seat cover sits at the left edge. The description of this photo's appearance-based label: the man's shaved head, orange garment, sacred thread and bracelet are consistent with a person performing the abhishekam, with an unsure identity tag.March 14 20142014-03-14May 20 20132013-05-20A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a gold-bead and rudraksha-style necklace performs abhishekam at a black stone shivalinga on a metal stand inside a small orange-painted shrine.
