A framed thangka-style painting hangs on a yellow wall, showing a central seated Buddha in orange robes with a halo, hands in a teaching-style mudra, surrounded by rows of smaller seated figures in red and orange robes against a blue, cloud-filled background with lotus motifs. The image is a painted religious artwork, not physical people.2006-01-08Photograph inside a tent with a red carpet and orange walls, showing a seated group of saffron-robed sadhus facing a central figure. Behind them hang large devotional posters of Shiva with trident and damaru amid snowy mountains, a multi-armed deity seated on a peacock, and Shiva and Parvati seated on Nandi the white bull. Several sadhus wear orange and saffron robes, rudraksha and gold necklaces, and one wears an orange turban. The central figure in maroon robes with bare shaved head sits with his back partly toward the camera, facing the group on floor cushions. Some men wear beards and others are clean-shaven.2015-09-14A photograph inside a tent with orange fabric walls and a red carpet, lined with large devotional posters of Ganesha, Shiva with trident and Himalayan backdrop, a multi-headed Brahma-like deity seated on a lotus, and Shiva-Parvati with a bull. Several saffron-robed sadhus stand together. On the left, a man with a long white beard wears a saffron shawl and rudraksha mala with gold necklaces. A bald man in a maroon-and-gold dhoti and shawl stands at right with a white cloth in his hand, and another maroon-robed man wears a red turban. A bearded man in plain orange robes and rudraksha mala stands centrally. Those present are sadhus and devotees; no one is clearly identified by name in the image.2015-09-14June 06 20112011-06-06September 14 20152015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14A photograph of a tent interior with a red carpet and cushioned seating in front of large devotional banners showing Ganesha, Shiva with a trident standing before snowy mountains, a multi-headed deity, and Shiva and Parvati seated together. Six men in saffron and orange robes sit cross-legged on cushions. Most wear rudraksha mala beads, and one sits with a white shawl and folded hands. A standing man on the left wears a long orange shawl and stands facing them. On the right, a man in white robes and an orange turban stands with his back partly turned, and a seated man in dark red robes sits on the floor. Several seated sadhus have long grey beards. The gathering appears to be a discussion or satsang among sadhus.2015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14September 14 20152015-09-14
