July 01 20142014-07-01A dimly lit stone shrine chamber with a lingam-style deity form draped in yellow and pink marigold garlands. A man with bare shoulders and a reddish-brown dhoti stands at the left of the altar, one hand touching the lingam. A small oil lamp burns on a brass plate at the base, and a white cloth covers the altar. Rudraksha-style beads hang on the back wall. The image is watermarked by the archive copyright line in the lower right, which is not transcribed. a person is not confidently identifiable from the appearance alone, so the person is described by role as a priest performing puja.2014-07-01A photograph inside a dim stone shrine chamber where a figure stands in profile at right, bare-shouldered, wearing a red-and-maroon cloth and gold armlets, with a garland of yellow and pink flowers draped over the shoulder. He reaches toward a dark stone linga wrapped in flower garlands, set on a white cloth before a bright light source. Brass oil lamps with lit flames sit on a tray in front, and a round metal mirror or plate hangs in the background. The setting suggests an abhishekam or puja in a small temple sanctum.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01A woman seen from behind, wearing a rust-red cloth wrapped over her shoulder and a long garland of green leaves, pink and yellow flowers, performs aarti with a lit oil lamp on a brass plate holding red and white kumkum/vibhuti. She faces a small shrine niche with a green-robed deity murti decorated with flower garlands, set within a gilded arch. Chains hang from the low stone ceiling on both sides, and a partial figure of another person stands at the right edge.2014-07-01February 07 20172017-02-07February 07 20172017-02-07February 07 20172017-02-07March 01 20182018-03-01 +1 copiesJuly 01 20142014-07-01A life-sized figure of a bearded man with long dark hair stands at left with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a rust-orange saffron shawl over the shoulders and a rudraksha mala of large beads across the chest, with rudraksha bracelets on the upper arms. To the right, a small wooden shrine with a pitched roof is decorated with red and white flower garlands and holds a deity murti, with a single oil lamp flame glowing on a wall niche. The setting is a weathered, peeling blue-grey wall in a dim old room. The figure appears to be a statue or wax-style display rather than a living person, so no physical people are counted.2018-03-01
