A crowded outdoor procession moves under orange canopy tents strung with small lights, at what appears to be a large religious gathering. In the foreground a bearded elderly sadhu with long grey-white hair and an orange robe is walking, with a shaved-headed monk in orange on the right holding a white pole. A man in a white shirt wears a large marigold garland and a pink-red shawl. Nearby, a man in an orange turban and orange robe, a uniformed police officer in khaki, and several devotees in saffron, orange and pink clothing move through the throng. Women wear saris in red and yellow. The pole supports and orange tent walls frame the packed walkway.

A photograph of a crowded tent area with thatched walls and bamboo poles, where a group of men and women press closely around a central figure. A bald man in an orange-brown robe with a beaded white-and-gold necklace stands at left, and another robed figure with long dark hair and a headband in the center wears a brown garment and beads. Several onlookers in jackets, a yellow knit cap and striped shirts crowd in, some with hands folded in greeting. Those with strong visible cues include the long hair, beaded necklaces and saffron-toned robes; identity is not established from appearance alone, so the central figure is described by role and the a person field is left unsure.

A crowded outdoor tent scene at a Kumbh Mela camp. In the foreground an older bearded man in orange robes and a vibhuti mark stands with palms pressed together in namaste, flanked by younger men in white kurtas and checked lungis, and a turbaned man in a pink turban with hands folded. On a raised stage at right, saffron-robed sadhus wearing orange and red turbans stand near a flower-decorated platform, one holding a red and gold ceremonial cloth. At upper left, a figure in a yellow robe with a rudraksha mala and a bearded man in white stand beside a green-lit dais with a microphone. Many devotees in the crowd raise phones toward the stage.

A dense crowd of devotees fills an indoor tent hall with orange and yellow draping overhead. Many people stand and sit close together, most in white dhotis, kurtas and shirts. A woman in a blue sari with a blue head covering stands at centre with her palms pressed together in namaste. Several men in white dhotis and orange cloths stand near the left, one holding his hands together. Men in brown, pink-checked and white shirts fill the foreground, and some elderly men with white beards and grey hair sit in the crowd. No a person candidate is clearly visible among the people.

Crowded outdoor festival scene at an orange-draped tent with a large golden palanquin or ornate golden cart on the left. A colourful striped umbrella shades a group of saffron-robed sadhus and devotees in the centre. A man in a white dhoti with an orange sash and a rudraksha mala stands barefoot in the middle of the crowd, while a bespectacled man in white wrap with rudraksha beads is in the foreground. Many visitors in casual clothes, turbans and headscarves press close. A large dark-and-white carved deity or figure image is on the upper right and a deity murti sits in the back. The crowd is dense and mostly men.
